ELECTRICAL INSULATION

The coating produced by the anodising process is composed of aluminium oxide, a material having exceptional dielectric strength. The coating has excellent adhesion to the substrate, high resistance to mechanical damage and extremes of temperature making anodising aluminium the preferred choice of a number of electrical applications.

APPLICATIONS INCLUDE:

Mounting washers Heat sinks The combination of high electrical resistance and low thermal resistance allows excellent heat dissipation for solid state devices
Choke devices
Laser Generators
Electrical Windings Aluminium coiled strip and wire is used to wind coils for lifting magnets, magnetic separators, aircraft engine controls, vibratory systems.

The insulating properties also contribute to the corrosion resistance of the coated metal by inhibiting current flow, particularly when in contact with more noble metals.
